At Designful, we understand that it can be challenging to know what your Best First Step is when considering building, extending, renovating or undertaking home improvements.

We provide some Best First Step services and packages to assist you with getting started on your new project journey. These services will help you understand what is involved, what your options are and what process your particular project needs.

The best first step with us is to book an Initial Consultation.

We believe that to make well-informed decisions, you need relevant and practical information and support. Our initial services below can arm you with this, to enable your project to get underway:

Online Consultation:
We will cover our project process + stages, and answer any of your initial questions regarding requirements for​ your unique project, probable costs, potential time frames, what approvals and consultants you will most likely​ need + opportunities and potential challenges. This is also an opportunity for us to get to know each other and​ understand if we will be a good project team. These consults are done via zoom and we follow up with an email​ of key points.
*Fee applicable: $330

Site Consultation:
This option is ideal if you already have a block of land or existing property and would like to have a conversation​ about your project on site. We will assist with your initial questions regarding requirements for your unique​ project and site, how your ideas work with your land or existing home, other consultants and approvals required,​ probable costs, time frames, opportunities and potential challenges. We follow up with an email of key points.
*Fee applicable: $412.50 inc gst + travel if applicable (travel is charged at $66/hr if your site is more than 20min from Hobart or Launceston CBD)

Project Feasibility Package:
This initial stage of every project provides you with info on what is possible for your property, what the process will be and what the challenges may be before you commit to undertaking your project.
*Fee applicable: $2,100-$4,100

Home Improvement Package:
This stand-alone package is ideal if you need some advice on internal modifications and/or renovations, and some help identifying what is possible for your home within your budget.
*Fee applicable: $2,500-$6,000
